What does Gesso mean?
Gesso translates to plaster in Italian, an ode to our in-house artisan Daniel and his heritage and expertise as a plasterer.
How do I care for my Gesso House furniture?
We recommend treating our pieces similar to raw marble, by wiping down spills as soon as they occur with a soft damp cloth, using protective heat mats for hot dishes and candles, and avoiding acidity such as vinegar and abrasive cleaners which can wear down the sealer.

Where are Gesso House pieces made and how are materials sourced?
Gesso House products are sustainably made in our studio on the periphery of Sydney. All timber materials are sustainably sourced from local suppliers, while our finishes are sourced from the highest quality Italian suppliers.
Do you have any pieces in-stock?
All furniture is handcrafted to order in order to maintain our sustainable practice in creating considered furniture for Australian homes. It ensures every piece is one-of-one and reduces waste.
Can I customise dimensions and colours?
As Gesso House pieces are handmade to order, we can happily customise dimensions and colours to suit your personal aesthetic.

What are the lead times?
Lead times will vary with each piece of furniture and timing will be estimated upon order confirmation. Should you wish to have your order completed sooner, please contact us. Rush fees will apply.
Can I order a sample of your finishes?
We gladly offer samples of our dining and coffee table finishes. Samples are $40 inclusive of express postage Australia wide, and is redeemable on all future Gesso House purchases.

Do you ship interstate?
Yes, we ship Australia wide. Delivery costs are calculated at check-out.
If you are unable to generate a shipping quote upon check-out, please contact our team who will provide a custom delivery quote.

Due to the fragility and weight of our pieces, we do not ship internationally at this time.
